Dora Maar (photographed 1936) & Picasso’s interpretation

Striving to be perfect is an ever exhausting unattainable goal.  Instead, strive to give 110% + effort.  Perfectionism is the elephant in the china shop.  It destroys creativity.    Picasso did not seek to paint perfect eye proportions or even anatomically correct features.  “The idea is less to remake reality than to express its possibilities.”     Be perfectly imperfect!

  1. I like your contrast between creativity and Picasso’s paintings. I’ve never thought about how he paints perfectly imperfect before but so very true and he’s one of my favorite artists. Great read!
