From Grains to Glory

Singular grains of sand, when combined for a cohesive purpose, create beautiful works of art. If only people envisioned beauty beyond themselves (less self-absorbed), imagine the creations of a billion people working together for one positive goal.

I’m writing a first draft and reminding myself that I’m simply shoveling sand into a box so that later I can build castles.

Be Perfectly Imperfect

Striving to be perfect is an ever exhausting unattainable goal.  Instead, strive to give 110% + effort.  Perfectionism is the elephant in the china shop.  It destroys creativity.    Picasso did not seek to paint perfect eye proportions or even anatomically correct features.  “The idea is less to remake reality than to express its possibilities.”     Be perfectly imperfect!
